Bessie Moulton’s long and varied career in art has encompassed art therapy, teaching, graphic design and a broad studio practice that has included artist’s books, printmaking, painting, writing, sculpture and collage. These days she can be found in her woodland studio-on-stilts, making art from her deep studies of nature and wide explorations into ancient world cultures. For Bessie, art and life are inextricably connected, each feeding the other perpetually. In developing the collection, I met with Bessie in her studio to try on early versions and celebrate completed pieces. Here Bessie wears the Canopy blouse in sky blue and the Brush duster in black.
